A lovely Japanese-made Kawai CX-5 upright piano dating from 1997, finished in an attractive cherry wood cabinet and supplied with a matching piano stool.
This is a particularly nice example to play. The action feels responsive and well balanced, with a rich, clear tone and considerably more character than you might expect from such a compact upright. It is genuinely one of those pianos that is difficult to walk past without sitting down and playing for a few minutes.
The CX-5 was manufactured in Japan and is a proper acoustic upright built to Kawai's usual high standard. Its relatively compact cabinet makes it an excellent choice for a living room, music room or smaller space without sacrificing the feel and sound of a traditional acoustic piano.
The cabinet has been cleaned and carefully attended to prior to sale. As expected for a piano approaching 30 years old, there are some minor cosmetic marks and signs of previous use, but overall it presents very well.
