Compact Yamaha upright pianos have long been a leading choice for home pianists, teaching studios and school practice rooms. They are remarkably well built and consequently are reliable and stable enough to provide many years of reliable service in demanding environments.
The C104 is a Japanese-built model, from the same factory that produces the industry defining U Series uprights, and while it was one of the smaller piano Yamaha made at the time, it still benefits from such refinements as a solid spruce soundboard. This Yamaha C104 was made in Yamaha’s best factory in Hamamatsu Japan. It’s here that all of Yamaha’s best pianos come from, including their world-famous concert grand, the CFX, which retails at around £140k.
Typically of Yamaha's compact uprights, the C104 has a remarkably powerful and resonant tone while the touch is even and controlled. It would be a great choice of piano for the beginner, and equally a more advanced musician in need of a top quality acoustic piano, but with limited space, would find the M5E satisfying to play.
This is a much better Yamaha piano from the most basic, Chinese made B series
Sulinda Music price of £950 includes a 2-year warranty. Delivery can be arranged at a cost of £150.
